Glass Kristina Snow is suffering from an addiction to meth and she struggles with it until she gives in and the monster, as she refers to it, takes her under again and she slowly loses e verything, including her family and her baby. The shake ends with her and her boyfriend world thrown into jail for possession, transportation, and intent to propagate meth. She also finds forth she is pregnant with his baby. The tone the author uses for Kr.istinas voice is very scattered from the root word, when she is suffering from withdrawal, when she is high, and when she is crashing by the end of the novel. Glass is the second novel in the spyglass trilogy by Ellen Hopkins. The entire book is told from her point of view and there is an obvious differentiation from the beginning to the end. At the beginning she may be short with her family and word of honor at time but she is also focused and located to make a better life for her and her son. Then she gives vertebral column in and she comes across more relaxed, if a little hyper, and at start-off very c arful and controlled with her usage. Then she begins to deteriorate. Kristina becomes much frazzled, and pays slight caution to her surroundings and responsibilities. She gets irrationally angry at her mammy and stepdad, as well as her son.

It becomes obvious to her family that she has given spur in to meth because she neglects her son more and doesnt fall with on her promises. At one point her mommy threatens to funk her out and when she finally does Kristina goes to live with her boyfriends cousin. He also happens to be her dealer, so Kristi na is just direct towards the monster. She ! apace descends into further madness when she starts thinking there are bugs on her and starts picking at her skin. Kristinas boyfriend, Trey, is away at college evidently put together despite his addiction, and whenever he comes to forebode it sends Kristina into a whirl.
